Privacy Policy
Plainly: we collect what you send us through the contact form, we use analytics to understand traffic, and Amazon sets a cookie when you click a product link so it can pay us. That is the whole of it.

What we collect
The contact form. When you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you submit. We use them only to reply to you and, if you report a correction, to fix the site. We do not add you to a mailing list — there isn't one — and we do not sell or share this information.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how many people visit which pages and how they arrive. This collects standard, largely anonymized usage data — pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referring site. We use it in aggregate to decide what to write next; we do not use it to identify you personally.
Affiliate links. When you click a product link, Amazon sets a cookie that lets it attribute a resulting purchase to this site so it can pay us a commission. This is how the site is funded; the full detail is in the affiliate disclosure. We do not receive your Amazon account details, your payment information, or what else you looked at — only, in aggregate, that a purchase occurred.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for two purposes: the Google Analytics 4 measurement described above, and the affiliate attribution Amazon requires. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will work normally without them, though we will lose the ability to see aggregate traffic and Amazon may be unable to credit us for a purchase.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not run display-ad networks that track you across the web.
- We do not require an account, because there is nothing to log into.
- We do not send marketing email.
Your choices
You can browse the site without submitting anything. You can block cookies. You can ask us to delete any message you have sent us by emailing info@dialanddish.com. Because we collect so little, there is usually little to delete.
Third parties
The services that touch your data are Google (Google Analytics 4), Amazon (affiliate links and product data), Microsoft (which delivers the email our contact form generates), and Vercel (which hosts the site). Each has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top. Dial & Dish is a US-based publisher and this policy is written for a US audience.
