Editorial Policy

No fabricated data, ever

Every specification on the site — wattage, capacity, working pressure or temperature range, warranty — comes from the manufacturer's own published documents, and every one carries a link to the source. This is not just a policy; the build fails if a spec has no source URL. Where a manufacturer publishes nothing, we say “not published” rather than estimating, and the machine gets no running-cost figure rather than a borrowed one.

No invented experience

We do not claim to have cooked with, tested, or owned a machine we have not. There is no test kitchen, and we say so on every page — machines we claim to have tested: 0. We do not manufacture credentials — no certifications, no “expert panel”, no years of tenure — for a real, named author. Our method is what we compete on instead, and it is fully reproducible from public sources.

Independence, and how picks are chosen

The site is funded by affiliate commissions, and that funding does not decide our rankings or our verdicts. Picks are chosen buyer-first: a machine earns its place on the five published metrics — Capability, Capacity, Documentation, Build and Value — and every pick states its drawbacks. Where a product should be skipped, we say so on its own card. We are not paid by manufacturers, and we never accept payment or free product in exchange for placement, a ranking, or a favorable mention. No brand sees a page before it publishes.

No fabricated ratings or endorsements

The editorial score on each product is our own judgment from documented research, and it is clearly labeled as such; it is nota test result and it never appears in the page's structured data as a rating, because marking up an unverified score that way would claim something the prose correctly refuses to claim. Where we summarize owner sentiment, we attribute it — never present it as our own hands-on experience.

Prices are live or absent

Prices come from Amazon and are date-stamped. Once our price data goes stale it disappears rather than mislead you, and the button falls back to “check price”. We never hand-type a price, and we never show a number we cannot currently verify. Full detail is in the affiliate disclosure.

US English and US market

The site is written for a US audience, in US English, with US pricing and the US Amazon store. Spellings, measurements where dual, and pricing all follow that.

Corrections and update cadence

If we get something wrong, we want to fix it — a wrong number on a site whose whole premise is checkable numbers is the worst error we can make. Report a correction here. We will fix the figure, check whether the same error appears elsewhere, and update the page's “last updated” date to reflect the change. Beyond corrections, we recheck published specifications when a manufacturer revises a product, and prices refresh continuously so the number you see is the current one.
